At IHCS, we are firmly committed to ensuring the security and privacy of our health plan partners and their members. It’s something that we’ve always prioritized, and just as we’ve continued to innovate and enhance our services with advanced technologies (such as our MedTrac platform), we’ve continued to meet and exceed data privacy and security standards.

As a testament to our continued efforts in this area, we recently pursued SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation. This entailed passing a rigorous, independent assessment that evaluated us across key areas, including:

  • Security (our ability to protect our systems against unauthorized access, information disclosure, and damage)
  • Availability (our ability to ensure that information is accessible to users)
  • Confidentiality (our ability to safeguard confidential information)
  • Privacy (our ability to comply with privacy laws and regulations)

We passed the assessment—which included an audit that assessed over 200 controls—with flying colors.

Christopher Bradbury, our CEO, says the decision to pursue the accreditation fully aligned with our organizational values at IHCS. “Our health plan partners place a significant amount of trust in us, and we never take that lightly,” he says. “We make bold promises and deliver on our commitments—including those related to protecting their, and their members’, privacy and security. It’s an absolutely critical aspect of our work.”

As part of the SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation process, we underwent an audit that assessed over 200 controls to ensure we meet and exceed industry standards. We achieved 100% compliance on all controls.

Phil Goldenberg, our CIO, agrees, adding that this latest accreditation provides health plan partners with even more assurance of our ability to provide:

  • Advanced security against data breaches
  • Stringent privacy safeguards
  • Verified security protocols
  • Enhanced system reliability

“This achievement underscores our dedication to maintaining the highest levels of security and privacy in healthcare data management,” he says. “As cybersecurity threats become more prevalent and sophisticated across the industry, we will continue to do everything possible to stay one step ahead. We’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us, and we remain committed to upholding that trust every day.”
